I got it wrong...

I got my Grandmother's saying wrong. It should be, "I am sometimes so heavenly minded that I am of no earthly good." I little different, huh?
So I guess I made up my own say. My point being that some times I get so wrapped up in the things of this world that I eternity doesn't cross my mind. I pray that I will begin to get less wrapped up in today and begin investing more in eternity.

I guess that just proves that we need to find the balance and not just focus on heaven or just focus on today. The saying works both ways because God calls us to be in the world but not of it, He also calls us to be His hands and feet in this world. So, you see you didn't get it wrong you just got it right TWICE! ;)

I think I prefer your saying! I too get caught up in so many things that don't really matter. We all need to constantly watch our thought lives...

Too many eggs on my plate, balls in the basket, time in my pockets. I knew what you meant. ;o)

Your post reminds me of a song :)

Heaven is a wonderful place
Filled with glory and grace.
I want to see my Savior's face...
Heaven is a wonderful,
Heaven is a glorious,
Heaven is a wonderful place!
But...until then
My heart will go on singing.
Until then, with joy I'll carry on.
Until the day, my eyes behold the city,
Until the day, God calls me home.

Thanks for the great reminder, Beth!
